Cedar Rapids Man Arrested After High Speed Chase Ends in Crash
(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A man is in custody after a high-speed chase that ended in a crash Tuesday morning. Police are identifying the suspect as 38 year-old Antonio McLaurin. Police spotted a vehicle going over the speed limit early Tuesday morning. Investigators say he briefly evaded officers who were trying to pull him over before crashing into a ditch.

Cedar Rapids women charged after alleged Iowa City burglary
Two Cedar Rapids women were taken into custody Sunday afternoon after allegedly attempting to burglarize a residence. The incident reportedly took place on 500th Street SE, north of Hills. According to the arrest report, 51—year-old Josephine Mello and 70-year-old Wendy Wilkinson-Senneff entered the unoccupied structure after gaining access through a chained-off fence gate inside the property and then securing the gate behind them.
