Davenport man sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for trafficking cocaine
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on July 17 for conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of cocaine, a media release says. Dale Ganaway Lucus, Jr., 39, was found responsible for buying and selling large amounts of cocaine in the Quad Cities area, public court documents said.
Wright County man sent to federal prison for gun crime
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – A Wright County man is going to federal prison for illegal gun possession. Michael Dean Hanus Jr., 45 of Clarion, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Hanus Jr. has a prior conviction of Interference with Official Acts – Dangerous Weapon, which banned him from possessing a firearm.

The nonprofit license holder for Dubuque’s casinos on Tuesday announced more than $1 million in grant funding to 57 area organizations. DRA board members on Tuesday unanimously approved the core grant funds at their monthly meeting. Iowa Department of Transportation announced that the Iowa Mobile ID system will now be available on Samsung Smart Wallet on all Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 12.0 or above.
