Sharptails looking sharp

A very tight Upper 13 Baseball League race continued when the Washburn Sharptails swiped a 15-4 win over host Ashland Merchants in the annual classic held on July 4, then beat up Grandview on July 7 to improve their league leading record to 6-1. The Merchants fell to 1-6 after a 10-2 setback at Tony on July 7. The popular U13 all-star game, which typically draws capacity crowds and is played under the lights at Pufall Field in Ashland, will be held on July 12. Taking a break from play on July 14 recent results, scheduled games, and current standings coming into July 21 action are as follows:
