NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (July 25, 2024) – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) uncovered its 2024 Division I Academic Honor Roll where Howard University had a pair of Bison make the cut. The announcement came Wednesday (July 24). Goalkeeper Logan Ford (Charlotte, N.C.) and attacker Kimora Williams (Marlton, N.J.) were selected after accumulating a 3.50 grade point average (GPA) or better. Last season, Ford, a political science major, saw action in 15 contests while registering 82 saves. For Williams, the sports management major played in only four matches for HU. Massachusetts man charged in connection with illegal firearm smuggling between the US and Dominican Republic using household items
BOSTON – A Boston man was arrested and charged in federal court in Boston in connection with illegal firearm smuggling between the United States and the Dominican Republic. According to the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 26-year-old Alexis Lara Herrera was charged with one count of smuggling goods from the United States; aiding and abetting. Herrera made an initial appearance in federal court in Boston last Friday and pleaded not guilty. He is currently being held in federal custody pending trial.
