With semesterly housing rates approaching $10,000 per semester, Northeastern dorms are more than 25% pricier than they were 20 years ago, when accounting for inflation. Off-campus housing isn’t much cheaper — a recent report ranked Northeastern the eighth most expensive college to live off-campus in the United States, just behind Harvard (ranked seventh) and Boston University (ranked sixth). The report found that students living off campus at Northeastern can expect to pay around $3,400 a month.
A late-night Taco Bell Cantina is opening Boston with a few changes
New changes are being made to the new late-night Taco Bell, opening under the Taco Bell Cantina franchise. The new location on Boylston Street in Fenway-Kenmore, located near Berklee College of Music, compared to other Taco Bell Cantina’s will include changes in third-party deliveries, store hours and liquor licenses, according to Boston.com.

On this week's Pickin, we have an extended feature on the famed Lilly Brothers. Everett and Bea Lilly moved from West Virginia to Boston just as the Folk Boom of the 1960s was exploding. They became the house band at the famed Hillbilly Ranch venue and would introduce traditional Bluegrass music to scores of New Englanders. They are credited with heavily influencing the careers of Joe Val, Peter Rowan, and Bill Keith. In 2002, the were inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame with long-time sideman Don Stover. It doesn't get much more traditional than the Lilly Brothers!
