Youth basketball players from the Bay Area and beyond who are entering grades 1-5 in fall of 2024 will be coached up on skills by Northland College basketball coaches, players and alumni in two summer camps held at Northland College’s Kendrigan Center Chapple Family Gymnasium on June 24-27, and July 15-19.

The Northland College Youth Basketball Camps are open to interested players of any skill level, according to Northland College LumberJacks basketball team Head Coach Cole Schreiner, who stressed the importance of players learning by doing … and making mistakes.

“We emphasize a positive gym,” Schreiner said, “where campers can be introduced to skill concepts which will help them build their confidence. Errors are expected, so campers can continue to get better.”

Schreiner remarked that campers will be introduced to skill work and team play in small group sessions, with each day including opportunities for skill development and competitions for everyone.
