Amici's in downtown Athens is officially saying goodbye.

The restaurant's Instagram and Facebook accounts thanked downtown Athens for 'a great 20 years' and said that it will not be renewing its lease at the location.

"We appreciate all the local support over the past two decades," the post read.

Its location at The Falls of Oconee remains open.

"We are immensely grateful for the local support and unforgettable memories we've shared over the years," Amici's said in its post.

The location at 233 E. Clayton Street has been a staple in downtown Athens for 20 years, known for specialty pizza, wings and a vast beer and cocktail list.

Last month, the restaurant posted that it was closed until further notice.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this time. Stay tuned for updates, & thank you for your support!" Amici's post reads.
