Georgia’s coaching staff let out a proverbial and collective breath. One of relaxation not complacency as June turns to July.

The month started with eight commits in the class of 2025. As July 1 comes in, the Bulldogs have 17 commits locked up.

Last year, Georgia signed 28 prospects in the 2024 class. If the class looks similar in size then that means the Bulldogs are over halfway done with the class of 2025.

The first three weeks of the month featured camps, official visits and unofficial visits of key targets for Georgia’s coaching staff.

July brings about a dead period and some time off but a few key decisions on tap. August will mean the opening of camp in Athens.

There are a few things to process in the month of June.

Three takeaways from the month of June

    Georgia values in-person evaluations (still)

The Bulldogs landed two prospects in the month of June that weren’t on many radars as the season ended.

Both Todd Robinson and Landon Roldan were dominant players for their perspective teams in 2023.

Georgia got both on campus and they ran fast, really fast. Like that, both Robinson and Roldan were on Georgia’s radar and it did not take long for the Georgia-loving duo to make the call to their home state programs. Roldan and Robinson are both three-star prospects according to the rankings, it is possible that Georgia covets them as much more than that.

Chidera Uzo-Diribe is a rising star

Uzo-Diribe has quickly become an elder statement on Georgia’s staff this spring. Uzo-Diribe is now in his third season as Georgia’s outside linebackers coach.

He’s made a splash on the recruiting trail. Uzo-Diribe evaluated and circled and made a beeline for four-star edge Darren Ikinnagbon early in the cycle. He played a major part in flipping five-star Isaiah Gibson from USC to Georgia.

He’s been a key in recruiting four-star edge Bryce Davis , who is trending toward Georgia. Uzo-Diribe was the coach who made initial contact with major linebacker target Christian Gass who has Georgia near the top as well.

Uzo-Diribe signed five stars Damon Wilson, Samuel M’Pemba and Gabriel Harris.

    James Coley a star recruiter

Coley took over for Bryan McClendon back on Feb. 24. In the four months since Coley has turned in his homework early on the 2025 recruiting class.

Coley has already reeled in four commits. Georgia has the pledges of four-star Talyn Taylor , Thomas Blackshear , Tyler Williams and three-star Landon Roldan .

Georgia is a major RPM favorite in the recruitment of four-star Travis Smith who announces on July 13.

Coley has quickly related to this receiving crop. They also love his intensity. Coley will likely be a key piece in the recruitment of a few in-state targets in the 2026 class as well.

    Three bold predictions for July

Georgia will be up to around 25 commitments by the end of July

There was a long list of targets on campus in June. Some are taking their time and thinking things through.

There are a few recruitments that will shake out in the next week that could determine the spots available.

Georgia will land at least one recruit committed elsewhere

Georgia is working to flip a few major prospects. They made an impression on all of them during their visits in June.

July could be the time for Georgia’s message to sink in.

Georgia will lose at least one commit

As Georgia works to flip others, others are working to flip theirs.
