Heading into the 2024 season, the Georgia Bulldogs face some of the most stout competition college football has to offer, with the hopes of catching another national title.

And quarterback Carson Beck, arguably the best player in the nation, will be a big part of accomplishing just that. With the expectations surrounding both him and the Bulldogs comes a high level of pressure.

That's something that doesn't bother the signal-caller in the slightest.

“I love pressure situations, so as much pressure as you want to put on me, I’m going to rise to the occasion or settle back to my training,” Beck said in an interview with KFOL/KJUN HTV10. “As far as expectations and pressure go, it’s football at the end of the day, for me I’m going out and playing a sport I love.”

It's clear Beck has stepped up to the plate when called upon as he turned heads in his first season as the UGA starting quarterback, finishing it out with over a 72% completion rate, passing for 3,941 yards with a 24-to-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio. His mobility and improvisation ability was on display as well as he rushed for for 116 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Beck also talked at MPA about the idea of the the Bulldogs being the 'hunted' as they enter the season as the No. 1 team in the nation.

He doesn't see it that way exactly.

"(Kirby) Smart says this too, but we don't get hunted. We do the hunting, no matter what. Even if we're at one, if we're at ten, whatever the ranking is, we are always doing the hunting."

It's clear Beck has the right mindset going into a loaded schedule, but there's no question he'll be the prospect to beat as the projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and with the Bulldogs the No. 1 team in the country.

The road to maintaining that will begin with the season-opening matchup against the Clemson Tigers on Aug. 31.
