In just a handful of days, the guessing game as to where one of the nation's most intriguing safety prospects will land for the 2025 recruiting cycle will come to an end.

Four-star safety prospect Lagonza Hayward out of Toombs County High School in Lyons, Georgia, recently set his commitment date to July 27, and that decision will come down to Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida.

Back in May, Hayward was leaning toward the Tennessee Vols for much of the month, but then shifted his sentiment over to the Georgia Bulldogs shortly thereafter.

Hayward is a multi-sport athlete who also runs track and plays basketball. He put up times of 11.44 seconds and 11.54 seconds in the 100 as a sophomore, as well as a 22.81-second time in the 200.

Here's a look at the full scouting report on Hayward from 247Sports' Hudson Standish:

An explosive three-phase playmaker who 247Sports stamped as a four-star in the Fall of 2023 and has continued on an upward trajectory into 2024. Verified around 6-foot-1, 200 pounds with a well-built upper body, athletic lower half, and positive arm and wingspan measurements which should allow him to continue adding muscle before eventually settling in around 225 pounds at the next level. Rare two-way talent at wideout and defensive back that could be graded as an athlete considering collegiate programs are recruiting him on both sides of the ball, but likely has a higher ceiling as a defensive back prospect. Expansive multi-sport background speaks to his overall athleticism which directly translates at the prep level on Friday nights and in camp settings against elite competition. Plays with a hot motor and violent intentions which results in impressive takeaway production and a fair share of bone-shattering collisions. Triggers effectively whether the ball is in the air or on the ground and pursues with a fanatical level of determination. Will offer significant special teams value moving forward. Intriguing combination of ready-to-play football instincts and long-term athletic upside make Hayward one of the more compelling prospects in the state of Georgia at this stage of the evaluation process. Should be viewed as a potential impact player for College Football's elite programs with significant NFL Draft upside.

Asa junior in 2023, he functioned as a two-way player on the football field for a team that finished out the regular season with a 9-1 overall record. Hayward played both defensive back and wide receiver, totaling a combined 48 tackles (3 TFL), 4 PBU, 3 interceptions and a forced fumble on defense.

He had 26 receptions for 727 yards and 7 touchdowns on offense, also scoring on a kickoff return.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Hayward currently ranks as the No. 94 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 11 safety in the country and the No. 12 overall prospect in the state of Georgia.
