Paul Finebaum Reveals What Should Terrify College Football Fans

The Georgia Bulldogs seem poised to become the next dynasty in college football, having secured two of the last three national championships and are once again considered top contenders entering the 2024 season.

The Bulldogs are led by Kirby Smart, who is one of only three active head coaches to win a national championship, joining Clemson's Dabo Swinney and North Carolina's Mack Brown. Smart's recent success has led to many comparisons to Nick Saban.

Paul Finebaum told On3's J.D. Pickell that he believes Smart is better at his age than Saban was at Smart's age, which he finds scary for the rest of college football.

"Kirby Smart is the best coach in college football," Finebaum said. "I think he's better at his age than Nick Saban was at his age. I think it's scary."

Finebaum mentioned that he wouldn't speculate on whether Smart will win more national championships than Saban but believes he'll contend for that mark at some point.

So, while some in college football may have sighed with relief at Saban's retirement, Finebaum suggests that someone as good or even better might be ready to take over the sport.
