The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off a bit of a down year, if you consider going 13-1 with the only loss coming in the SEC Championship Game, and then bouncing back to win the Orange Bowl 63-3 over Florida State a down year, but that’s the kind of standard Head Coach Kirby Smart has created at Georgia, championship or bust. Well, the Dawgs should get back to the standard of winning the National Championship this season and national college football writer for CBS Sports Dennis Dodd explained why earlier today on The Morning Shift.

“Yea they rule the world. They’re right in line for three championships in four years, and again clear out all the noise that’s one of the top stories going into this season, and oh by the way in football Georgia is beating everybody they’ve got it all figured out. I think Texas will be right there, I don’t know if they have quite enough to surpass Georgia. Carson Beck is maybe the number one Heisman guy right now, Malaki Starks on defense, they’ve just gotten stronger, so then in the East no divisions anymore obviously they’ll play Florida, but I don’t want to say it’s going to be easy but I think you can pencil them in for 12 wins and even if it’s 11 somehow they still get to the playoff and probably get a first-round bye.” Dodd said

At this point most people, if not everyone, believes Georgia is the best team in college football, and now they just have to go prove it by taking care of business and winning their third championship in four years.
