On Friday's episode of The Paul Finebaum Show , Paul Finebaum was joined by 247Sports' college football analyst Carl Reed Jr. A few of the topics discussed included SEC media days as well as the commotion surrounding the Georgia Bulldogs' off-field troubles.

Georgia wide receiver Rara Thomas was taken into custody on Friday morning, facing serious allegations including three counts of second-degree cruelty to children and three counts of family violence battery.

Georgia's offseason troubles have become a major talking point in college football, largely due to a series of automotive-related incidents.

Finebaum made it clear that he does not believe Kirby Smart has 'culture problem' at UGA.

“I had a caller earlier today that was harping on the latest arrest in Athens and I maintain, because I lean on people like you [Reed] for guidance, that there is not a culture problem at the University of Georgia,” Finebaum started his question.

In finishing his question to Reed, Finebaum declared that Georgia is 'the best program in college football.'

“But there does seem to be an inordinate amount of arrests. Can you address the best program in college football? And is there something going on there or does these things just happen?" Finebaum asked.

Reed responded to Finebaum's question by agreeing that Smart does not have a culture problem within the program.

"Kirby Smart does not have a culture problem," Reed said. Kirby Smart is a diciplinary and Kirby Smart is a strong leader. Kirby Smart is a good man and he has been for a very long time."

He mentioned that the concerning off-field activities of some of the Bulldogs players is an unintended consequence of delving out lots of NIL money and athletes having luxurious 'toys'.

"When you have football players that you're giving a lot of money to, they have a lot of toys and have a lot of resources. This is one of the unintended consequences of paying players," Reed concluded.

Finebaum is not alone as multiple other outlets also agree that the Bulldogs enter the season as the No. 1 team in college football. The program returns starting quarterback Carson Beck and made multiple additions through the transfer portal including former Florida running back Trevor Etienne.

Defensively, the Dawgs are stacked with talent all over including defensive end Mykel Williams and safety Malaki Starks.
