    The Southeast Ohio Recycling Terminal Council of Governments (SORT) next regularly scheduled board meeting is at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at 35 Public Square, Nelsonville. SORT board meetings are on the third Monday of every month at 10am. The public is welcome. Contact 740-541-1327 or sort.director@gmail.com for more information.The Athens County Commissioners, along with community leaders of the Stewart / Guysville area, will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 20 at Federal Valley Resource Center, 8225 State Route 329, Stewart. The meeting will be held to discuss the possibility of providing sanitary sewer to the area based on a study the commissioners completed and interest from area residents.The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Federal Hocking Local School District on Aug. 20 will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Coolville Cafeteria. This is a change from the original start time of 6:00pm. This meeting will also start a regular rotation of meetings held at all buildings: Sept. 17, Amesville Elementary; Oct. 15, HS/MS Library; Nov. 19, Coolville Elementary; and Dec. 17, Amesville Elementary.Notice is hereby given that there will be a Policy Meeting at 5:30 p.m., and a Regular Board Meeting at 6:00 p.m. of the Tri-County Career Center Board of Education of Athens County, Ohio, on Aug. 20, in Room 108/Pierce Room at Tri-County Career Center, 15676 St. Rt. 691, Nelsonville, OH, 45764. Buckeye Hills Regional Council is a designated RTPO for Southeast Ohio in partnership with the Ohio Department of Transportation. The purpose of this meeting is to present for consideration a revised budget, updates to governance documents, new personnel positions, community grants, and other related matters.
