Social Media Roasting Team USA For Getting Blown Out By South Sudan

With the 2024 Paris Olympics right around the corner, Team USA is playing its fourth summer exhibition, taking on South Sudan.

Team USA got off to a hot start, leading 12-2 and looking like they would cruise past a South Sudan team who is in their group for the Olympics. However, as they have been struggling with in their few games together, Team USA began turning the ball over and South Sudan was able to capitalize.

The South Sudan squad isn't loaded with NBA talent by any means, as their most notable players are former Laker Wenyen Gabriel and Carlik Jones who has a total of 12 career NBA games under his belt, Charlotte Hornets forward JT Thor, and incoming Duke freshman and five-star Khaman Maluach.

NBA G Leaguer Marial Shayok is leading the way for South Sudan with 14 points at the half, and has helped them build an impressive 58-44 lead. Team USA was picking up some steam towards the end of the half, and will need to start finding their shot from deep.

They also need to protect the ball as they had more turnovers than assists in the second.

As one could imagine, social media is letting them hear it for their subpar showing.
