Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers have been in a contract dispute all offseason, which had led to rumors that he could be moved. That trade buzz has heated up in recent days, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots emerging as possible landing spots.

Edge rusher Nick Bosa, who hit a wall in discussions about a new deal with the Niners last year, knows exactly what it's like to be in this spot. While he's optimistic the two sides can work out an extension, Bosa is also aware of the massive hole Aiyuk's potential departure would leave in San Francisco's star-studded offense.

    Per David Bonilla of 49erswebzone:

“I think it’d be huge,” Bosa said. “I trust John [Lynch] and Kyle [Shanahan], but he’s a very tough player to replace.”

Aiyuk led the 49ers in 2023 with 75 catches for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns, serving as Brock Purdy's most important target downfield. For the sake of this team's Super Bowl aspirations, let's hope Aiyuk and San Fran can come to an agreement.
