The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris over the past couple of weeks have completely captivated the American sporting public, with gold medal performances from the pool to the track and anywhere in between.

It's been a lot of fun to watch Team USA this summer, and one of the things that's been the most enjoyable about it is the fact that Snoop Dogg, one of America's favorite uncles, has been along for every step of the ride.

The former rapper turned global superstar has been Team USA's biggest cheerleader, working with NBC at the Olympic Games and promoting anything and everything he can.

A story earlier in the month concerning how much Snoop Dogg was being paid per day to promote the games certainly turned some heads, but what's more important is the recent announcement that NBC Universal made about his connection to the event going forward.

In an article in The Athletic, NBC Sports president Rick Cordella revealed that the company is going to be trying very hard to bring Snoop back for both the Winter Olympics in 2026, and the Summer Olympics in 2028, which will be held in Los Angeles.

“Snoop has done everything and beyond what we ever expected him to do here in the Paris Games,” Cordella said . “I think we’d be really thrilled to have Snoop back in any capacity he would want to come back in.”

Whether it was his parade around Paris with the Olympic Torch before the games began, his swimming lessons alongside Team USA legend Michael Phelps, or his obsession with Crossogue breakdowns with Martha Stewart, Snoop has been all over these Olympic Games, and fans seem to be loving it.

Will he be back for future Olympics? Nothing is set in stone just yet, but we now know that NBC will happily have him.
