Patrick Mahomes Caught Absent-Minded In Hilarious Mic'd Up Moment

It's rare for Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes to get caught with his pants down. But in one instance during their training camp, it happened—almost literally.

In a hilarious mic'd up moment shared by the Chiefs on X, Mahomes trooped to the field only to realize that he didn't put his padded pants on.

"Oh dude, I didn't put my pants on," the 28-year-old quarterback said to his teammates. "You think anyone notices? I forgot my pants pads."

He then turned to his coaches and revealed the all-important, life-changing, soul-enriching fact that would either make or break the Chiefs' upcoming season.

"Hey, I forgot my pads in my pants," Mahomes declared.

"Maybe he'll think my quads are so big that they look like pants," added the three-time Super Bowl champion.

To which Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy had a deadpan yet equally hilarious reply: "I doubt it."

Meanwhile, following the Chiefs' practice on Wednesday, coach Andy Reid said he expects Mahomes and company to compete in their first preseason assignment against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.

"I'm gonna play everybody," Reid said in a report from Sports Illustrated's Joshua Brisco . "All those young guys, I'd love to see how they compete. The higher draft picks are gonna be in there (against) a little bit better competition, so I want to see how they handle that."

But as he's done in the past, Reid's stars would likely play just a few minutes in the preseason.

Also on tap for the Chiefs in the preseason are the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears.
