It's been a few days since Team USA star Sha'Carri Richardson was in the spotlight at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but the 4x100 relay heats have started, so it's once again her time to shine.

Round 1 of the relay was on Thursday morning, where the U.S. won their heat with a time of 41.94. The Americans got off to a great start, but an awkward exchange between TeeTee Terry and Gabby Thomas slowed them down heading into the third leg of the race.

But once Richardson got the baton from Thomas, it was game over.

The 100m silver medalist sped past everyone in her path and won the heat easily for Team USA, giving them a prime position in Friday's final.

Team USA had the fastest time among all qualifiers, with the next closest being Germany, who finished at 42.15.

The Americans will undoubtedly be the favorite going into Friday's final, looking for their third gold medal in the event in the last four Olympics. In the 2021 Tokyo Games, Jamaica won the 4x100m gold medal, while Team USA got silver.
