The Cincinnati Bengals are well within the thick of things in training camp, and one position group that may have previously been an area of concern is looking like it could be a strength.

After the departure of Joe Mixon , the team looked to the open market when they brought in veteran Zack Moss on a 2-year deal from Indianapolis . In addition to Moss, the team selected Chase Brown in the 5th round of the 2023 NFL Draft and he was able to contribute down the stretch of last season.

Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher was asked by media after practice on Wednesday what the state of the room as a whole looks like, and he heaped praise on both Moss and Brown.

"Zack's been the consummate pro. I mean, he's where he needs to be every single play, regardless of what we ask him to do," Pitcher said of Moss . "He's caught every ball we've thrown to him like a lot of contested, hard catches off his body. I can't be happier with Zack."

While Moss is the more experienced back with five NFL seasons under his belt, the entire coaching staff has expressed excitement throughout the offseason on Brown, and yesterday was no different.

"Chase is the young budding talent that we all expected him to be who adds an explosive element to our rushing attack and catching the ball out of the backfield so I feel really good about that spot," Pitcher finished .

The combination of Moss and Brown could prove to be one of the more underrated running back duos in the league in 2024.
