United States sprinter Noah Lyles received a bronze medal for his finish in the 200-meter final. He's now a two-time medalist, having previously secured a gold medal in the 100-meter final.

Lyles finished the 200-meter final, clocking in at 19.70. Botswana runner Letsile Tebogo won the gold medal with a time of 19.46. American sprinter Kenneth Bednarek was just ahead of Lyles with a time of 19.62.

Following the race, Lyles was very fatigued, sitting on the track with heavy breaths. The 27-year-old has asthma, so fans have speculated that he may have dealt with issues in that regard.

Lyles was helped off the track and taken away from the bright lights in a wheelchair. When the race was over, the medical team visited the United States sprinter on the side of the track and ultimately helped him off.

Lyles' injury concerns have been around the news for the last few days after the American runner finished at No. 2 in the men's 200-meter semifinal qualifying round.

He crossed the line at 20.08 seconds, while the winner was Tebogo, yet again with a final time of 19.96 seconds.

Recent reports revealed that Lyles was diagnosed with COVID-19 two days prior. to the 200-meter final, according to his mother, who spoke with the NBC.

Lyles' asthma could linked back to his diagnosis since both are considered a "respiratory disease," meaning the United States sprinter would have likely had trouble circulating air through his lungs.
