The Minnesota Timberwolves announced several coaching promotions and additions on Thursday.

The top five assistant coaches from last year — Micah Nori, Elson Turner, Pablo Prigioni, Corliss Williamson, and Kevin Hanson — are still on head coach Chris Finch's staff.

    Here's a closer look:

Max Lefevre has been promoted to assistant coach. He's been with the Timberwolves since the 2019-20 season, holding positions of video coordinator/player development associate and player development coach. The French native also previously worked at Texas Tech as the director of player development.

Jeff Newton has also been promoted to assistant coach. He's been with Minnesota as a quality coach, a player development associate, and the head coach of the Iowa Wolves in the G League within the past six seasons.

Chris Hines has also been named an assistant coach, plus director of player development. Hines has been with the Wolves since 2019, working in different roles such as assistant head coach for the Iowa Wolves, player development associate and player development coach.

Nathan Bubes has been promoted to assistant coach/quality control coach. He served as an assistant coach in Iowa last season.

Moses Ehambe has been named assistant coach/player development. He's in his fifth season with Minnesota.

James White has been promoted to player development coach. He finished his first season with the Timberwolves coaching staff last year after spending one season with the Iowa Wolves as an assistant coach. He has NBA experience as a player with the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks. He also was a contestant in the 2013 slam dunk contest.

Joe Dorsey joines the Timberwolves as a new addition, serving as a player development assistant. He also has NBA experience, playing with the Rockets, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors before playing overseas.

Finally, Cole Fisher has been promoted to manager of basketball analytics and will be entering his seventh season with the Timberwolves.

Minnesota also announced on Thursday Gregg Farnam has been promoted to vice president of medical services; Erin Sierer as the head athletic trainer; and Lisa Pataky as the sports physical therapist.

Farnam was a member of Team USA when they won their third consecutive gold medal at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. He was also a past chairman of the National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association (NBATA) and has also served on the NBATA Executive Committee as Secretary and Western Conference Head Athletic Trainer Representative.

Sierer becomes the first woman in franchise history to be named to the position. This will be her sixth season with Minnesota.

Pataky previously spent five seasons working on the professional women's tour as a physical therapist for the Women's Tennis Association.
