Gophers women’s hoops a reported finalist for top 2025 recruit Cearah Parchment

The Minnesota Gophers women’s basketball team is still in the running for one of the top-rated recruits in the 2025 class.

Canadian forward Cearah Parchment trimmed the list of schools she’s considering for college to four on Thursday, according to 247Sports , listing Minnesota with Michigan, Illinois and Maryland.

Rated as a four-star prospect by both 247Sports and ESPN, Parchment is an exciting prospect.

Listed at 6-foot-2, she’s considered a top-40 prospect in the Class of 2025 and would be a huge get for the Gophers.

She averaged 10 points 6.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 3.5 steals per game last summer in the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship.

Minnesota currently has two commitments in the 2025 cycle — fellow top-50 recruit Makena Christian, a guard out of Wisconsin, and Zoey Bershers, a center who is the third-ranked player in Arkansas.
