Bogdan Bogdanovic had his moments in Serbia's unlikely bid to reach the gold medal game at the Paris Olympics, but it was Team USA that got the last laugh.

The Serbian shooting guard scored 20 points, adding 3 assists and 4 rebounds as his team built up a 17-point lead before Team USA's torrid comeback to win 95-91.

Bogdanovic had one of the most iconic -- and controversial -- moments when he appeared to taunt Team USA legend Carmelo Anthony, who was watching from the front row. After hitting a three-pointer, the Atlanta Hawks guard appeared to turn toward Anthony to unleash a "three to the dome" celebration.

The moment caught the attention of NBC announcer Noah Eagle, who noted how Bogdanovic seemed to be repeatedly gesturing toward Anthony in the crowd.

The move may have backfired. As many fans noted, Team USA appeared to increase their intensity in response to Bogdanovic.

"USA Basketball is hitting the panic button right now, Bogdanovic staring down Carmelo Anthony is the final straw," one person shared in a post on X .

"Why is Carmelo Anthony getting randomly chirped at by Bogdan Bogdanovic lol," another posted .

Anthony, sitting near former fellow NBA star Dirk Nowitzki, nearly saw one of his Team USA records fall. Guard Steph Curry ended the game with 36 points, just one shy of Anthony's all-time Olympic record of 37 points in a 2012 win over Nigeria.
