Steph Curry Almost Made Olympic History In Win Over Serbia

United States Olympic guard Stephen Curry was on fire in the team's victory over Serbia on Thursday.

The NBA star posted 36 points and eight rebounds while knocking down nine three-pointers in the process.

With his three-point total, Curry nearly made Olympic history by coming one shot shy of tying the three-point record for the most in an Olympic game.

The most threes ever recorded came from Oscar Schmidt, Carmelo Anthony 10, and Karl Tillman, all of which dominated their generations in Olympic play.

Despite Curry being on the brink of Olympic history in his specialty, he did record the second most points in an Olympic game in Team USA history, behind Carmelo Anthony.

Curry and the United States are now preparing to play Victor Wembanyama and France on Aug. 10 at 3:30 p.m. ET. They took down the defending NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic, and will now face another force in the paint.

The Golden State Warriors guard has struggled to find his rhythm throughout the tournament, but shots were falling at a consistent level in the win over Serbia.
