“I don’t have any urgency to get it done,'' Jones just said.

The contract dispute between the Cowboys and Lamb was, per the Cowboys' own deadline, supposed to be solved by the start of camp.

But the star receiver vowed that he will not show up to training camp without a new contract extension, and his holdout has now pushed its way into its third week.

The Cowboys say he wants to be the highest paid non-quarterback in the league - with our belief that we're talking about a four-year contract approaching $35 million APY.

Lamb himself says simply, "It just has to make sense.''

And beyond that? Mixed signals all through camp ...

And now a rather volatile signal from Jerry Jones.

COO Stephen Jones recently said Dallas has exchanged "numerous" contract offers with Lamb's representatives.

"He's sent us deals,'' Stephen said. "We've sent him deals."

But now, on a sunny Oxnard afternoon? What Jerry Jones just send CeeDee Lamb is a message. ... and not an especially positive one.
