It didn't matter how much rain dropped down in Florham Park Thursday, the New York Jets looked more like a Super Bowl-caliber roster than they ever had to this point before.

In joint practices with the Washington Commanders, it was the Jets that looked like the far superior team taking on a new-look roster - something that has changed in recent years in regards to New York.

Whether it was Garrett Wilson dominating a bad Commanders secondary, or New York's own secondary blanketing life for second-overall pick Jayden Daniels, it was a day that showed the organization flexing its muscle in a way.

Something that just hasn't happened quite a lot in the last decade.

"I felt it was good, it was very productive. I don't want to speak for Washington, but I felt it was very productive, guys got work in, really liked what I saw out of the run game," Jets head coach Robert Saleh said afterward. "I feel like the weather kind of hindered us with regards to pass game, but it felt, offensively speaking, the run game was really good."

In 2023, the Jets struggled to overwhelm teams that may have had lesser talent than them in these joint practices.

The fact that the organization dominated Washington Thursday is not only a sign that they have the talent to overwhelm any opponent but also that they know how good they are.
