Kevin Durant Shares Feelings on Nikola Jokic After Olympic Win Over Serbia

There are very few questions about the unbelievable talent possessed by Serbia's Nikola Jokic, the Denver Nuggets star and league MVP from 2023. Jokic is among the best players in the NBA, plus he's on the short list of the most skilled centers in league history and the driving force for his country in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

It took everything that Team USA had to take down Jokic and the Serbians on Thursday afternoon in the semi-final game, but the Americans ultimately won 95-91.

After the game, and in the early hours of the morning, Team USA star Kevin Durant took to social media to clap back at some fans who targeted him on Twitter, and he shared his thoughts on Jokic in the process.

"To all you nuggets fans, nobody gives a [expletive] who yall lames believe is the best player in the league, players got major respect for Jok, we don’t worship him like yall do but most are in awe of his brilliance," Durant said on social media.

That's a fair assessment from Durant. It would be blasphemous for any NBA player to overlook what Jokic brings to the table, but to sit there and think that anyone in the league is putting him on a tier separate from everyone else is a bit naive.

Jokic had 17 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds for Serbia in the loss to Team USA on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Americans will go on to face Team France in the gold medal match on Saturday, facing off against Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert for all of the marbles.
