Cowboys Legend Dez Bryant Makes His Opinion of Jerry Jones Extremely Clear

Like many fans of the Dallas Cowboys organization, Dez Bryant is not happy with longtime owner Jerry Jones.

Jones and the Cowboys are still locked in contract negotiations with superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who's made it very clear that he's willing to holdout until he gets a longterm deal.

While a new contract is Lamb's priority, the same cannot be said for Jones.

“I don’t have any urgency to get it done," Jones told reporters on Thursday.

Bryant, who spent eight seasons as a superstar wide receiver for Jones' Cowboys, weighed in with his thoughts on the matter. In doing so, the former All-Pro pass catcher made his opinion of Jones extremely clear.

"This only happens to… Let me shut my mouth. Winning must not be in the vocabulary smh," Bryant wrote on X.

Lamb is entering the final season of his current deal with the Cowboys, set to earn $17.99 million in 2024. The Cowboys placed Lamb on the reserve/did not report list earlier this week amid his contract holdout.

Lamb responded to Jones' recent comments with a blunt message.

"Lol," the 25-year-old wide receiver wrote.

"Well, I don't expect not to have CeeDee Lamb, but this camp has given ... opportunities for the people who need it most," Jones said on Thursday. "And that's the ones that aren't proven like CeeDee. So it's a great plan to see your receiving corps and develop a receiving corps from the rookies."

Lamb posted his best season in 2023, reeling in a league-leading 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
