Deion Sanders Shuts Down Reporter In Viral Press Conference Interaction

    By J.C. Shelton,

Deion Sanders took a unique approach to a question from a Denver Post reporter during Friday's press conference as the Colorado Buffaloes continue fall camp.

Instead of taking the question, Coach Prime cut the reporter off and asked one of his own : Why do you not like us?

Sanders: You don’t like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?... No, I’m serious. Why do you do this? It would be hard for me to really engage in someone I don’t like or something I don’t like. I’m just asking why? What did I do?

Reporter: You didn’t do anything. It’s not about that. This is a football question.

Sanders: You, you’re always on attack. What did we do to you?

Reporter: Where am I on attack today?

Sanders: I’m not gonna give you opportunities to be on attack... What happened to get you like this?

    Reporter: That’s a good question.

Sanders: No, I’m serious because I want to help. Because it’s not normal.

Reporter: We can talk about that. We can talk about that.

    Sanders: Okay.

Reporter: Can I ask you a football question, seriously?

    Sanders: No...

The reporter was audibly taken back by Sanders' approach, often times nervously laughing throughout the exchange. Sanders ultimately denied the reporter's opportunity to ask his "football question," alluding that the two would talk about that when the reporter explained his feelings on the Colorado program.

Sanders quickly granted a different reporter's request for the next question and continued the conference.

Colorado will open its first season in the Big 12 at home versus North Dakota State on Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.
