Jonathan Owens' One-Word Description of Wife Simone Biles Says It All

Simone Biles just finished yet another dominant Olympic campaign. Her husband, Jonathan Owens, was along for the ride every step of the way.

Owens, a Chicago Bears defensive back, left training camp to support his wife in Paris as she competed in her third Olympic Games. There, he saw the all-time great gymnast add four new medals to her already-impressive trophy case.

Now back in Chicago as he prepares for the Bears' 2024 season, Owens was asked about Biles' performance during his media availability at practice.

In his response, Owens referred to his wife as a "warrior."

Biles suffered a calf injury on the first day of Olympic qualifying in Paris, but was able to battle through the pain and put together a masterful performance.

"Obviously the first day when she had the injury to her calf, just her ability to persevere through that and go out there and still dominate, it's just amazing to watch. My wife's a warrior," Owens said.

"You can't hide your excitement out there," Owens continued when talking about his reactions in the crowd. "How much I love her and how proud I am for her. I know how much work she's put in to get to that point."

Biles finished her 2024 Olympic campaign with gold medals in the team finals, All-Around and Vault. She finished silver in the Floor Exercise behind Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade.
