Chiefs vs. Jaguars Preseason Game 1: How to Watch, Betting Odds

The Kansas City Chiefs kick off the 2024 preseason with an exhibition matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday night.

It's the first step to what the Chiefs hope is a record-making season, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes & Co. hope to become the first team ever to win three Super Bowls in a row.

It's also a matchup between two former Philadelphia Eagles coaches, as Chiefs coach Andy Reid was on the sideline in Philly for 14 seasons from 1999-2012 before joining Kansas City in 2013. Jaguars coach Doug Peterson - who played for Reid while in Philly - coached the Eagles from 2016-2020 with a Super Bowl win.

Reid has indicated that everyone available will get a chance to play on Saturday, which would include Mahomes, but it remains to be seen if Reid will follow through on that.

Pederson has said he plans on playing starters on Saturday too, although don't expect to see too much playing time for starters on either squad.
