The Buffalo Bills will open their 2024 preseason slate on Saturday as they host the Chicago Bears. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. PT at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

Though many of Buffalo’s most notables are expected to garner some attention during this upcoming matchup, here are three players on offense that might raise an eyebrow when the Bills  take the field against the Bears.

Buffalo seemingly believes they have found their future top receiver by selecting Coleman with the No. 33 overall pick. Last season for Florida State, he earned 50 catches for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 6-4, 215-pounder has good size with quickness, athleticism, and exceptional ball skills. Though some have questioned whether his size could impede his ability to get separation at the pro level, he moves well for a big wideout and presents size-mismatch problems for opposing defensive backs. In fact, he has already turned in a handful of aesthetically-pleasing plays during training camp, as well as throughout the offseason workout program.

    Ray Davis

Buffalo drafted Davis with pick No. 128 in the NFL Draft. Compactly built at 5-8, 216 pounds, Davis can be the type of multi-faceted back the Bills typically covet. He projects as a powerful rusher, with a great deal of potential as an all-purpose back. Last season, he averaged 5.7 yards per carry for 1,129 yards and 14 touchdowns. The now former Wildcat is at his best in a change of pace role, and should help to provide Cook with some much-needed rest at times. He is also quite an adept pass-catcher out of the backfield, having caught 33 receptions for 323 yards and seven scores.

    Connor McGovern

McGovern began his NFL career with the Dallas C owboys as their third-round Draft selection (No. 90 overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Larksville, PA native signed with the Bills in March 2023. Throughout his five-year career, he has played in 62 games, starting 46 of them. After the departure of longtime center Mitch Morse this offseason, McGovern has been the consensus choice to replace him as Buffalo’s starting center. While McGovern’s veteran savvy has earned him the majority of the first-team overall reps to begin camp, his new spot could make for an intriguing watch on Saturday.
