Las Vegas Raiders Coach Makes Concerning Admission Ahead Of First Preseason Game

There's a lot we don't know about the Raiders offense heading into the 2024 season, the one thing we do know, is that a starting quarterback has not been picked. When the Raiders kickoff week one, it'll either be Aidan O'Connell or Gardner Minshew.

Regardless of who wins the starting job, the Raiders are not expected to have the most explosive offense in the world, and head coach Antonio Pierce is well aware of that reality. He recently spoke on his expectations for the offense which was first reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN .

"We're probably not going to be, to be honest, a juggernaut offense, would I love to be? Yeah. To sit here and say we're going to score 30 points a game, that's not realistic."

It's not what fans are going to want to hear, but you have to respect the honesty. While this may feel like Pierce is showing his cards or giving up useful information, the rest of the league knows the Raiders are weak on offense.

However, if we want to sit here and play 4D chess for a moment, this could be a motivational tool.

This is a reach admittedly, but if you're a quarterback in the NFL fighting for a starting job, and your head coach says the offense you're leading is the weak link of the team, you might want to figure something out.
