Steve Kerr and Team USA are pulling out all of the stops for Saturday's gold medal game against France in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

It was announced that the Americans plan to insert Kevin Durant into the starting lineup for the final game, giving the Phoenix Suns star his first start at the Paris Olympics. The Athletic 's Shams Charania reported that Boston Celtics star Jrue Holiday will head to the bench to make room for Durant.

Durant has been one of the best players of the tournament for Team USA coming off of the bench. He has averaged 13.6 points per game in 20.5 minutes per game so far, but his buckets have been clutch.

In the semifinal game against Serbia on Thursday, Durant put the game on his shoulders late, knocking down some massive shots in isolation situations late in the fourth quarter.

It's not a surprise that Team USA is making this move for the final game of the tournament with the incredible stakes on the line. Should they defeat France, it will be the United States' fifth-straight gold medal in the Olympics, and give Durant his fourth gold medal.

The game will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
