    Report: Twins No. 5 prospect Luke Keaschall to undergo Tommy John surgery

    The Minnesota Twins' No. 5 prospect Luke Keaschall will reportedly undergo Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, according to the Star Tribune's Bobby Nightengale.

    The 21-year-old has reportedly been battling elbow injuries all season, despite his ascension through the minor leagues.

    In 2024, .303/.420/.483 with 15 home runs and 23 stolen bases between High-A Cedar Rapids and Double-A Wichita.

    Keaschall will have the surgery right away, as he's a position player and will have a better chance to return in time for spring training.

    The second baseman and outfielder is ranked as the No. 48 prospect in all of Major League Baseball by Baseball America.

    He has a chance to make the Twins' roster next season, if healthy.
