Noah Lyles may have won gold in the men's 100m event for Team USA, but his bronze medal in the 200m race may have been even more impressive.

After the race, it was revealed that Lyles had tested positive for COVID-19 in the days prior to the race, but he somehow managed to gut it out and earn his second medal of the Games.

While participating in this event through COVID may seem bad on the surface, it may have been even worse than expected. According to Lyles' coach Lance Brauman, the star sprinter had a fever around 102 degrees Fahrenheit during the race, which makes the fact that he won bronze even more impressive.

"Those guys raced great. But to get a bronze medal in 19.70 with a temperature of about 102, that wasn't too bad." - Lance Brauman, ESPN

It's pretty wild that Lyles was even able to participate in this race, let alone go out and win bronze against some of the top sprinters in the world.

Winning gold is obviously quite an impressive accomplishment, but considering the circumstances, this bronze medal for Lyles in the 200m race may be just as impressive in the eyes of some fans.
