    Steelers Trail Early as CJ Stroud, Texans Strike First

    The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting the Houston Texans in their first preseason game of the year.

    And fell behind early.

    Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud led them down the field on their second drive. After a near sack, Stroud connected with Tank Dell for 34 yards on 3rd and 8 to give the Texans a 7-0 lead.

    Justin Fields and the Steelers offense had a few nice drives that stalled forcing them to punt. In two series, Stroud went 2/4 for 41 yards and one touchdown.

    In three series, Fields was 5-for-6 for 67 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.

    On the first two series for Pittsburgh, there were multiple center/quarterback exchange issues between Fields and Nick Herbig leading to a change on the third drive to rookie Zach Frazier.

    At the end of the first quarter, the Texans lead 7-0.
