Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier and New York Liberty standout Breanna Stewart have started a new women's 3-on-3 basketball league called 'Unrivaled' that will feature many WNBA stars.

In late July, the new league revealed that Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is one of the many WNBA players who will be participating in the inaugural season next year.

During her time in France for the 2024 Paris Olympics as a part of Team USA, Collier engaged in a social media question and answer session regarding her new league. When a fan inquired about how they managed to persuade Reese to join, Collier shared the real reason why the former LSU Tigers star decided to get involved.

"Angel is a business woman and knows the power of ownership," Collier wrote. "This is the one investment as basketball players we can control. Angel is part of this group that’s bringing in a ton of viewership, she should have long term upside in the growth of basketball! Plus we’re in Miami."

Reese responded to Collier's answer with a post of her own:

"Phee said what she said OKAYYYYY," Reese said on X.

'Unrivaled' will debut in January of 2025 in Miami, Florida. The league will feature six teams, with five players per squad. A big plan for the new league is to offer the highest average salary in women's team sports. Not only that, but all 30 players participating in the inaugural season will have an ownership share.

Along with Collier, Stewart, and Reese, 'Unrivaled' has revealed multiple other players joining the league, including Las Vegas Aces guards Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young and Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale.

The main focus of 'Unrivaled' will be the 3-on-3 format, but it will also feature a one-on-one tournament to determine the best one-on-one player in the league.
