    Charles Barkley Admonishes Steve Kerr

Team USA beat Serbia 95-91 after falling to a 17-point deficit. However, considering the massive talent gap between the two teams, it's safe to assume Team USA isn't playing to its potential. On Friday morning, Charles Barkley went on ESPN radio and brought up Steve Kerr's coaching.

“They shouldn’t be tested,” Barkley says. “They should win. They got the best team. They haven’t used their depth the right way. Because the one advantage we had in ’92 — and they still have today – is when they go to the bench, they’re bringing in better players."

Team USA's struggle against Serbia should be viewed in perspective: the latter team has only two NBA players, whereas the former is loaded with superstar talent. It's odd for such a stacked team to need a triple-double and 36 points from the oldest players on the roster.

Team USA may be playing for bronze without Stephen Curry and LeBron James.

Barkley put the heat on Kerr, blaming Team USA's head coach for mishandling such a star-studded roster.

“He has not used this team properly,” Barkley continued regarding Kerr. “It should never be a debate on guys getting to play or not getting to play. Listen, putting Jayson Tatum in an NBA game, he’s gonna be better than 99% of the guys already in the world, but especially guys coming from a foreign country. You just kind of keep your guys on a treadmill and keep them rolling around.”

Barkley isn't the only or last person to criticize Kerr. The Golden State Warriors head coach is under much pressure as Team USA faces France for the gold medal on Saturday at 12:30 PM Pacific Time.
