Paul Finebaum is the controversial SEC commentator who has been accused of pro-SEC bias over the course of his career in the national spotlight.

Finebaum famously sparred with ex-Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh prior to the Wolverines winning their first national championship since 1997 last season.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native gave the Big Ten Conference its props this offseason, saying that the league has finally entered the same competition bracket as the SEC due to its offseason addition of four Pac-12 Conference teams.

Finebaum revealed his choice for preseason 'Game of the Year' in college football Friday on the 'GoJo and Golic' show.

He said that he believes Oregon will adapt better than any major conference program in a new league this season, adding that the Ducks' matchup against Ohio State is his pick for the biggest game of 2024 in college football.

"To me, the biggest game of the year in college football is Oregon at Ohio State (on October 12 at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR)," Finebaum said on the show.

"I think so much is on the line there. It's not an eliminator but it's a definer of programs."

Ohio State and Oregon are ranked number two and number three , respectively, behind Carson Beck and the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs heading into this month's opening weekend.
