Aaron Rodgers is reportedly pushing back on claims that former girlfriend Olivia Munn sparked an ongoing rift with his parents.

Journalist Ian O'Connor delved into the complicated relationship between Rodgers and his parents in a soon-to-be-released book titled "Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers." The book claimed that the quarterback's parents, Ed and Darla Rodgers, grew upset at Munn's public comments about their love life and sparked a rift that has extended for years.

In an excerpt of the book published by The Daily Mail , O'Connor wrote that Rodgers' deeply religious parents were upset about the relationship.

"Given her devout religious views, Aaron's mother disapproved of premarital sex and was opposed to her middle child sharing a hotel room with his girlfriend even as an NFL player," O'Connor wrote.

But Aaron Rodgers is now pushing back against the claims. People magazine reported that Rodgers said Munn "has nothing to do with all the years" of strained relationship with his parents. Rodgers and Munn started dating in 2014 but broke up in 2017.

A source close to Munn told People that it was right of Rodgers to "shut down" the rumors.

"It’s been almost a decade of these ridiculous rumors, and I know she really appreciates Aaron finally shutting it down," the source said, adding, “The Rodgers family has a lot going on, and she hopes they find some peace.”
