Carmelo Anthony's Postgame Interaction With NBA Star After Serbia-Germany Turns Heads

Bogdan Bogdanovic found himself in the headlines after the USA's win over his Serbian squad. During the game, Bogdanovic stared daggers at USA legend Carmelo Anthony. At one point, the Atlanta Hawks guard mimicked Melo's iconic celebration while staring down the legend.

Unfortunately for Bogdanovic, Serbia ended up losing the semifinal to the US. However, they redeemed themselves in the bronze medal match, destroying the reigning FIBA champions Germany to take third place. Bogdanovic stayed hot, scoring 16 points on 3-for-4 shooting in three-point attempts.

After the game, Bogdanovic and Anthony (who was watching the game) linked up. The two shared a hug after the game.

It was pretty clear that Bogdanovic did not have any animosity with Team USA or Anthony. It was an emotionally charged game, as all international games often are. The Serbian star, clearly fired up after a hot streak, just took a light jab at the legend.

After squandering a 17-point lead to the US, Serbia was determined to not make the same mistake twice. Germany tried their best to claw back into the game. However, a stout defense and Nikola Jokic's brilliance gave Serbia the edge to win the game.

Bogdanovic will now turn his attention to the upcoming NBA season. Last year, the Hawks guard averaged 16.9 points per game on solid efficiency. He is looking to get Atlanta back on track for next season.
