It may have taken a little bit of time, but the New York Jets are on the board in their first preseason game of the 2024 season.

Undrafted rookie quarterback Andrew Peasley found second-year wideout Jason Brownlee for a 12-yard touchdown to tie the preseason contest against the Washington Commanders at 7 apiece.

The touchdown drive was a seven-play, 80-yard move that had New York's 2024 rookie class all helping out.

Whether it was a 45-yard gash in between three runs from Braelon Allen, or a 24-yard catch and run by Davis on third down, the Jets saw their rookie running backs move the offense into scoring range early in the second quarter.

From there, Peasley found Brownlee for the game-tying score.

It should be worth noting that while their mid-round runners looked good, most of the top runs came behind the blocking of 11th-overall pick Olu Fashanu.

New York is currently tied with the Commanders midway through the second quarter at 7.
