After a long offseason, the Buffalo Bills finally play televised football for the first time since January when they open up their preseason against the Chicago Bears on Saturday.

Although it is still preseason, coach Sean McDermott has confirmed that Josh Allen and the starting group will begin the game on the field and play for about a quarter before the team's backups take over.

Chicago coach Matt Eberflus also confirmed that Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will make his NFL preseason debut in the game and play multiple series.

After multiple departures in the offseason, fans will get their first peek at the team's new-look offense, with a receiving corp expected to be led by returning veteran Khalil Shakir.

One player to watch throughout the game is rookie receiver Keon Coleman. Since Coleman was placed on the second-team in the team's first depth chart release, he should get some action in the game past when the starters are off the field.

Another player to keep an eye on is rookie running back Ray Davis, who will be competing for the backup spot behind James Cook. Davis has been praised for his ability to run through contact, but has struggled with some ball security problems so far throughout camp.

On defense, the safeties will be another position group to watch as the Bills have suffered multiple injuries at the position, and are looking for some players to step up.

While there are plenty storylines to watch, preseason games are a time for players that haven't received much attention to make themselves known, so expect multiple players to step up to try to earn a roster spot.
