It appears likely that USA gymnast Jordan Chiles will be stripped of her bronze medal from the floor routine event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Chiles had two new posts on her Instagram story on Saturday morning hinting that a decision was presumably coming soon.

The Court of Arbitration for Sports announced on Saturday it had voided the inquiry that led to Chiles’ score being bumped from a 13.666 to 13.766 because it wasn’t filed in the allotted period of time.

The International Gymnastics Federation allows for a one-minute window after a score is announced to file an inquiry, which the CAS claims Chiles’ coach Cecile Landi didn’t do.

“We are devastated by the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling regarding women’s floor exercise,” USA Gymnastics said in a statement. “The inquiry into the Difficulty Value of Jordan Chiles’ floor exercise routine was filed in good faith and, we believed, in accordance with FIG rules to ensure accurate scoring.”

Chiles' sister Jazmin posted on Instagram that Jordan had, in fact, already been stripped of her medal.

CAS recommended the IGF revert back to the original order of finish which had Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade first, USA’s Simone Biles second, Romanians Ana Barbosu third and Sabrina Maneca-Voinea fourth with Chiles back in fifth place, but it’s ultimately the IGF’s decision on who finishes where.

The Romanian Olympic Committee had asked for three bronze medals to be awarded, but the IGF hasn’t made an official ruling yet.
