Former Wisconsin football star Braelon Allen made his NFL debut today as the New York Jets took on the Commanders in preseason action.

Early reports indicate that the former Badger has been impressive in training camp early and is pushing for the No. 2 spot behind Breece Hall. Allen and Hall seem to be getting along well, calling themselves the 'Killer B's.'

Allen's size and running power have been big talking points for Jets fans, something Wisconsin football fans know well. Seemingly every Saturday, the former Badger star was running over defenders. He didn't take long to do the same thing in the NFL.

In his first action as a member of the New York Jets, Allen ran the ball six times for 54 yards, including a 24-yard scamper. He averaged a whopping nine yards per carry. He led the team in rushing yards.

While he may be playing second fiddle to the ultra-talented Breece Hall, it will be hard for the Jets to keep Braelon Allen off the field.

The pipeline from the Wisconsin football team to the NFL continues to be strong with Allen looking to make an impact early in his career.
