Auburn has been on a tear in recruiting for all 5 days of August, and appears to show no signs of slowing down. On Monday, On3's twitter announced that Steve Wiltfong now believes Auburn will earn the services of Deuce Knight, the number 4 QB in the 2025 class and the number 28 overall player.

This prediction comes after months of Auburn attempting to pry Knight away from Notre Dame along with Ole Miss, who is also after the elite prospect. Knight himself has had a stellar season with George County High School in Mississippi, accounting for 2,047 yards with 17 TD and 2 INT while accounting for another 494 yards and 11 TD on 99 carries.

Jeffrey Lee of On3 also had some comments on the possibility of a flip, saying there was "Not so much from Deuce's side. I know from Auburn's side, they want to get their quarterback recruiting done. They want to get a quarterback in this class so they can move forward with their season. They want to be done with this before heading into the fall. I expect something to happen sooner than later. All signs point to Deuce heavily considering a flip to Auburn."

Auburn's meteoric rise in recruiting can be attributed to the impressive work ethic of his staff, according to Hugh Freeze. “I think I couldn’t have asked any more out of the effort that it took to try, in a short amount of time, to get into the battles for the top guys,” Freeze continued, “because truthfully the elite schools are always a couple years ahead. We had to close the gap on a lot to get in in those battles. We didn’t win all of them but we sure were in them.”

This take seems to indicate Auburn is looking to wrap up their primary recruiting efforts in the 2025 class so they can focus on competing in the upcoming college football season.
