Browns Trail Packers 17-3 at Half as Star-Less Offense Struggles

Through the first 30 minutes of play inside Cleveland Browns Stadium, the Browns are trailing the Green Bay Packers 17-3. So far, the biggest story for the Browns has been their inability to sustain a successful drive.
Facing the starting Packers offense, the Browns defense, which was without most of their stars, gave up a first drive touchdown, as star quarterback Jordan Love unleashed a deep ball right in front of the Cleveland sideline to Dontayvion Wicks for a quick 65-yard touchdown.

Even without many of his top receivers, Winston led the Browns on a promising opening drive. The former first-round pick completed four of his five passes for 30 yards, helping set up a 55-yard field goal for Cade York to pull the Browns within four points.
Then it was the Browns defense's turn to stand tall as they stalled out a six-play Packers drive, which ended in a turnover on downs, as A.J. Dillon's fourth-down run was stopped for no gain.
Despite the promising opening drive, the Browns made a quick change at quarterback, ending Winston's day. In came Tyler Huntley, the former Baltimore Ravens backup, who couldn't replicate Winston's success.
However, that could be blamed on a offensive pass interference penalty that negated what would've been a fourth-down conversion.
Following a Packers punt, the Browns would put together another promising drive, processing 60 yards in 12 plays. However, a failed fourth-down conversion saw the Packers offense takeover on their own 23-yard-line.
That is where they went to work, driving 77 yards on a long 13-play that ended with a five-yard touchdown run from Emanuel Wilson, extending the Packers lead to 11 points, at 14-3.
The Packers would end up adding three more points to their lead in the two-minute drill as Anders Carlson connected on a 46-yard field goal attempt.
The Browns will look to make a second-half comeback, which will only happen if the offense starts finding its way into the endzone. The Browns will receive the opening kickoff of the second half.
