Cleveland Browns rookie linebacker Nathaniel Watson was forced to exit the team’s 2024 preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers after suffering a quad injury in the third quarter.

Watson, who had been receiving significant playing time due to the absence of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and other injuries within the linebacker corps, hobbled to the sideline, pointing at his quad, prompting immediate concern among the Browns' coaching staff. Following his exit, Watson was officially listed as questionable to return.

The injury occurred following a routine tackle, where Watson quickly showed signs of discomfort. The Browns' medical team tended to Watson on the field before trainers escorted him off.
